Today's episode comes to you from places we know well, but never really get used to MD Anderson. Yesterday, Todd and I sat with the oncologist for two hours to hear news that was both hard and clarifying.
The scans show that the tumors have grown, and there are new tumors on the esophagus and on the liver. That information led to a significant decision, to discontinue the current chemotherapy protocol, and begin a new one. and explore even the possibility of clinical trials.
That's a lot of information, and it carries an awful lot of weight. We're sharing it, not for sympathy and not for the drama, but for honesty. This is how the road looks like right now.
I, of course, wish for a miracle, not so much for the healing grace, but to show off God in his greatness to you. And his faithfulness to me. What continues to surprise me on days like this is the clarity that shows up, something that news doesn't bring, sometimes news, doesn't bring comfort. But it does bring direction and direction matters.
Well, in addition to that, we took the time out, side the walls of the hospital, and visited the NASA Space Center, and were in awe of where man has come over the last 50 plus years. It's amazing to see the size and the magnitude. Get a chance to walk through the space shuttle, and, uh, just was so impressed with the size of it all.
Well, I am grateful for you and your prayers, and just wanted to keep you up to speed. So let you know also that I pray for you with each one of these that goes out. I love you. Talk to you soon.
